# Real AMI Privacy Policy **Effective date:** 2026-08-12 Real AMI Inc. is the operator of the Real AMI service. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information when you use our affordable-housing profile, income-verification, and application services. **Privacy contact:** chanel@real-ami.com ## Information We Collect We collect information you provide to create and use a Real AMI account, including your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, address, household information, preferred language and contact method, qualifications, and application-related information. When you use verification services, we collect information needed to perform the verification. This can include identity-verification information, employment and income information, documents you submit, and evidence and records created through the verification process. If you choose to connect a financial account through Plaid, we handle the financial information described in the separate Plaid Income Disclosure and Consent presented before Plaid Link opens. We also collect information generated through use of the service, including account and security events, communications about requests, and technical logs used to operate and secure the service. ## How We Use Information We use personal information to: - provide and operate the Real AMI service; - create and manage accounts and household profiles; - support affordable-housing eligibility, application, compliance, and reporting workflows; - verify identity, employment, and income when you request verification; - detect, investigate, and resolve security, fraud, data-quality, and operational issues; - communicate with you about your account, requests, and the service; and - comply with applicable obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for targeted advertising. We do not use personal information for marketing unrelated to providing and operating the Real AMI service. ## How We Share Information We share information with service providers that process it on our behalf to operate the service. These may include: - Plaid, when you choose to connect a financial account through Plaid; - Amazon Web Services for application infrastructure and object storage; - Neon for application database hosting; - Amazon Cognito for identity and authentication services; and - verification, upload, reporting, and other service providers used to deliver requested Real AMI functions. We may also disclose information when needed to comply with legal obligations, protect the security and integrity of the service, investigate suspected misuse, enforce our agreements, or respond to a valid request from an authorized party. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. ## Plaid-Connected Financial Information Financial-account connection is optional. If you choose to use it, Plaid presents its own connection experience. Before that experience opens, Real AMI presents a separate Plaid Income Disclosure and asks for your affirmative consent. You may request disconnection of a linked Plaid Item through the Real AMI service. When Plaid confirms removal of that Item, Real AMI clears the local encrypted access token for the Item and stops synchronization. Item removal is not a representation that all information held by Plaid or all historical evidence held by Real AMI has been deleted. ## Retention and Deidentification We retain identifiable information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, support affordable-housing and compliance workflows, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet applicable obligations. We may retain properly deidentified information for longer-term analysis and service improvement when it is not reasonably capable of being linked back to you. Real AMI has not yet adopted final retention periods or activated destructive deletion rules. We retain information according to the purposes and limits described in this policy and applicable obligations. ## Your Requests and Choices You may contact us at chanel@real-ami.com with questions or requests concerning your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, or a linked Plaid Item. We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding to a request. Some information may need to be retained where deletion is not appropriate because of an active legal hold, an applicable obligation, security needs, or another permitted reason. ## Age Requirement Real AMI is for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly provide the service to minors. ## Security We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information handled through the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. ## Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices or the service change.
